FAMILY FRIENDLY VACATIONS: We inviteall of our guests to participate in events like our epic B-B-Q's, Pig roasts and Karioke sing a-longs. It's a great way for the kids to meet new friends and for the adults to socialize and talk about the great hunting and fishing! Swimming is safe (no sudden drop offs) and we have a 600' natural sandy beach! There is a swim raft, playground, store (basics plus ice and bait) and shop for souvenirs. Go fishing, boating, hiking and ride the biking trails, we have excellent terrain for ATVing, limitless photography opportunities, great for those who enjoy painting (incredible scenery). Enjoy campfires, shore lunches, berry and mushroom picking, sight seeing, canoeing, pedal boats, picnics or just enjoy some good old fashioned rest and relaxation YOUR WAY!
CABINS/COTTAGES: We have ten log and frame lakefront cabins with screened porches that are fully equipped for housekeeping, dishes, pots and pans, cutlery, propane stove with oven, microwave, Barbeque, full electric fridge with top freezer, wood stove for heat (wood supplied), electric lights, electric coffee pot, electric toaster, running cold well water, inside port potties plus private clean outhouse, table and chairs, beds with pillows and pillow cases, fire pit and picnic table and a central shower building with hot and cold water.

Don't need both? Boat only option: (14ft/16ft) $65 per day or $210 per week • Motor only option: $45 per day or $270 per week.
Pedal Boats/Canoe Rentals:
Price: $25 per day • $100 per week
Docking: (Available to Renters and Renter's Guests only)
Docking price is included with all cabin rentals for Renters only. We do welcome your guests by water to tie up to the dock here while you are staying at Black Bear Camp and charge accordingly:

Docks are normally in from the long weekend in May to Thanksgiving weekend. All seasonal boats must be pulled by Thanksgiving weekend.
Legal Notice: Black Bear Camp is not liable for safety or negligence. Use of rentals and facilities are at your own risk. Must be at least 18 years of age+ to operate a motor. Watercraft license requirements apply. Safety equipment is supplied with Boat and Motor rentals only (not applicable to Boat only or Motor only options).

Pets: Must be well behaved, quiet, under control, supervised and leashed at all times. You are also responsible to clean up after your pet right away. Please note that you will be liable for any damages and/or medical fees.

Deposits on Cabins: $100.00 payable by VISA, Mastercard, Interac Debit, Canadian and US cash, personal cheque or money order.
Reservations: Reservations are strongly advised and a deposit must be given upon booking. Note: All deposits are non refundable.
Camp Fires: Permitted at each campsite and cabin during the hours of 7 pm -10 am ONLY. Wood may be purchased from the store.
The Store: Where you'll find all the necessities for your stay. First aid, ice, souvenirs, fishing and hunting licenses and our Tuck Shop is stocked with snack foods, sweets, chips, beverages and pop.
Bait: We sell worms and some tackle and accessories. Minnow's and leeches are available - please enquire. PLEASE NOTE: Do not transport leeches across the border - prohibited as of 2000.
BlackBear Wilderness Camp is a serene, four season lodge located on the north shore of beautiful Birch Lake in Northeastern. Ontario, approximately five hours north of Toronto, three hours east of Saint Ste. Marie, ON (NB) or one hour west of Sudbury, ON. We have ten waterfront housekeeping log and frame cabins for rent and a limited number campsites available. Please call ahead for availability and to reserve.
